Aitsa Klipkraal

Open Play Foundation, Capitec, Stellenbosch F.C., Stellenbosch Academy of Sport, Global United F.C., Rama, Yellowwoods and the Enthoven Family collaborated to bring Aitsa Klipkraal to the Dwarsriver Valley Initiative’s Aitsa Youth Centre in Kylemore, Stellenbosch. “Aitsa” is an Afrikaans word adopted from the Khoi language, used as an expression of awe and excitement. Klipkraal’s outer and retaining walls were built with large river stones from the area. Hence, the facility was named Aitsa ǀ'Ui ǃxaib, the Khoi word for a stone enclosure or klipkraal.
